Coping with lockdown

This is a tough time for musicians, isn’t it? People are finding new ways to be creative and some amazing things are happening online. We are all finding new ways of living. A time for re-inventing. Musicians do that really well.

The great privilege of treating musicians is the positivity. If a musician’s hand is not working well, the determination to get back to high levels of hand function is unlike any other demographic. It’s a joy to see. I suspect that drive will help people come through this purple patch too. People are taking this as an opportunity to practice and create for themselves, rather that for their heavy workload and commitments. Or indeed to take this opportunity of downtime to deal with their hand problems in a way they could not when they were too busy. I hope to be able to get back to work in the next few weeks to start treating people before their musical schedules take over their lives again!
