Returning after time out

It is commonplace to want to make up for practice time lost. But tendons, muscle, bone and cartilage all fail when exposed to loads they are not accustomed to. So a lack of practice, followed by sudden return to previous levels (or worse, greater levels, to make up for lost time!) will be very likely to lead to disappointment. Graduated to return to activity. Your Hand Therapist or I can advise you based on the specifics of your condition.
