‘Finger yoga’

There are a number of stretches that may be good for you to do regularly. I would suggest that if you have a problem with your hands, as a musician, (and perhaps even if you don’t) adopting a sports style stretch won’t harm and could do you some good. To be done several times a day for a few minutes. Best as a ‘cold’ stretch before starting to play, then a ‘warm’ stretch 30 mins into playing. Then a ‘stretch-down’ at the end of your session. Here is one that offers plenty of value: the ‘intrinsic muscle’ stretch.
