Video Clinics

Video consultations are a great way of getting a lot of information quickly. No travel time or travel cost. Unless patients need procedures, like stitch removal or steroid injections, or need me to feel their hand, an awful lot can be achieved by video. I use Zoom, Skype, Microsoft Teams, faceTime and WhatsApp video. For initial consultations and a decision about what investigations might be best to get to the bottom of the problem, this can work really well. Video is also a good way to tell us that you have done very well after our intervention and no further consultation will be required. Patients often like to check in with us to see if the progress they have made is normal or better than normal. Alternatively, it may be that you have decided you would like to discuss an intervention, such as an injection or therapy, or indeed an operation. Video can be an excellent way of doing that. We can even record the consultation if you like.
